Introduction

Free Chat is a simple application for talking to your friends over the internet (known as Voice over IP).

Step by Step example

1. On startup you are presented with the following screen:

2. The My Address box displays your personal address. You will need to communicate this to others for them to be able to call you.
To place a call, click the call button (identified above) then enter their addreses

What address do I connect to?

Each computer on the internet is assigned a seperate IP address. It is this number which is displayed in Go Desktop. However, on some connections this address will change each time you connect to the internet. To avoid such inconvenience you can use a service such as dyndns.com.
